Members of the Visioning Committee developed a Strategic Plan, over the past two years, in order to lead the City of Valparaiso into the future with a purpose. The Strategic Plan consists of improvements in the following areas:
- recreational facilities
- commercial & residential beautification
- community relations
- cultural opportunities
- economic development
- city services
- technological advances
- diversifying housing
- providing for elderly community members
- shopping appeal
- establishing economic stability
- attracting tourism
To support these improvement ideas, the Visioning Committee created eighteen (18) goals and fifty-four (54) action items.
